Personal Training

A personal training session is a time to forget about the outside world and to do something for yourself. It is time that you own—work that you own. It is a chance to be present in your own body. It is easy to feel disembodied by daily life. Work usually entails sitting awkwardly in front of a computer all day. Even during those moments unplugged, the stresses of the world distract us from ourselves. I do more than coach exercises. I teach you how to feel your body, the minutiae of sensation as you do anything, whether it is working out, dancing, or even just walking down the street. I give you a safe space for improvement, learning, and healing.

My clients have a variety of different goals from losing weight, gaining muscle, learning how to look and move like a dancer, living without pain, or even just aging gracefully. My background as a professional dancer makes me versatile enough to adapt to any and all of your goals. Over the course of my training and career, starting at the age of seven, I studied various types of fitness and movement philosophies that have given me an intimate understanding of the human body. Fitness for me is not something attained, but owned.

There are a million obstacles between you and your fitness goals. I can get you past them. Training can be dangerous without proper body awareness, especially if you are injury prone. Sessions with me are adaptable to all your aches and pains.

Training is difficult; training can be scary. Sessions with me train your will as well as your body, emphasizing safety. This is confidence you can own and wield outside of the gym. Training can be boring. Sessions with me are fresh, dynamic, making you hungry to improve and become more capable.
